We want to highlight our Members' best photos and art of Manitoba fungi. Photos will be shared in our social media, website and 2027 calendar we will be preparing this September. Authors will be credited.

We need photos and artwork of edible and all types of mushrooms!

Recipes, stories, anecdotes and memories are also welcome, for inclusion in the calendar.

PRIZES include combinations of:

• Book: Mushrooming, The joy of the quiet hunt (new)
  donated by Member Karen Clements
• Wilderness Supply Company gift card
  donated by Wilderness Supply Company
• MMS 2027 Calendar when published
• MMS 2025 inaugural T-shirt

CONTEST RULES:

• Submit entries by 2026 August 31 midnight
• Photos (including photos of artwork) must be created by and submitted by MMS Members
• Two entries are allowed per Member
• Each Member may have only one winning entry
• Entries must have been taken after 2025 September 1
• Mushroom photos and art must be of mushroom or fungi species found in Manitoba or NW Ontario
• Entries must be at least 3 Mbytes resolution, TIFF, RAW or JPEG format
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated submissions will be rejected
• Contest winners will be announced 2026 September 30
• The Manitoba Mushroom Society may use your submissions in our calendars, website, social media, and promotional materials
  Include with each photo:
  • Your name
  • Species identification, if known
  • Photo or artwork date and time
  • Photo location/area (latitude/longitude, street address, intersection, etc.)
  • iNaturalist observation number if known
• Upload your photos using MMS 2026 Photo Contest Upload
